You can see my interests, and two of my biggest obsessions are listed there: Lord of the Rings and the Liaden Universe.
Mostly, I'm amazed at the work, time, dedication, care, &c that went into the making of the Lord of the Rings movies. I'm the kind of person who can get so wrapped up in what I'm doing that I completely forget everything else. I can see my own dedication in that of all the craftsmen in the Weta Workshop. I spend hours watching and re-watching all the extras and commentaries in the Extended Editions.
The Liaden Universe is simply amazing. Period.
Some little-known, mostly worthless facts, some of them shameful (following the format of Eva's bio):
~I took ballet and gymnastics when I was small
~I actually took karate in eighth grade
~I placed eighth in the state of Texas in the GeoBee
~I love dressing up, so I'll walk around the house in old Halloween costumes or formal gowns
~Rick O'Connell (not Brenden Fraser) is my fictitious boyfriend (really, it's Val Con yos'Phelium, but as none of my friends know who he is, we say it's Rick)
~I will sometimes listen to movies while I work (right now, The Mummy is minimized on my computer- it's the part when Evie knocks over all the shelves in the library)
~I could once play the piano halfway decently
~The one thing in the world I want to see more than anything is the Aurora Borealis
~When I was very very small, my hair was just about as curly as Sara's. It also reached my waist.
~::shame:: My favorite book series (when I was about eight) was the Baby-Sitter's Club
~I seriously considered getting purple contact lenses so that I would look like Alanna the Lioness. I prefer being compared to Tris. Now I prefer my blue-frame glasses.
~Fireworks and jumbo marshmallows are some of the best things man has ever invented
~For the entirety of eighth and ninth grade, I only took off my cross necklace once or twice
~I have no brothers, no male cousins (that stopped being true ten months ago, though), no boys living on my street, and I now attend a girls' school. I have never really understood or befriended boys, and in that respect, Rachel and I are as different as night and day.
~I used to believe in fairies- I actually have an unfinished, handwritten story in one of my journals about a girl who discovers fairies in her backyard. Margo will absolutely murder me if she sees that I've actually written that I don't believe in fairies.
That's enough for now, I think.
I ship Mira/Kurt! Do you?
